Wedding ideas that are 'out-of-this-world'
Couples currently wedding planning may be interested in the latest unusual venues available to them.
It was reported this week that aerospace firm Rocketplace has teamed up with a Japanese company, First Advantage, to offer the chance for couples to tie the knot with a rather unusual backdrop for their wedding photography.
For $2.3 million, couples can fly 100 kilometres above the Earth and get married, taking two guests along to watch.
Included in the package is a wedding dress, guest tickets and also a party on the ground for friends and family to watch the live video of the ceremony.
However, the service is not available until 2011. Couples with more immediate wedding ideas in mind could travel to Sweden for a seven-minute ceremony next month.
As part of a bid to make marriage more accessible, the Church of Sweden is offering drive-through weddings at a car rally.
An Elvis singer will provide the entertainment, while vintage cars will be the backdrop for the wedding photography.
